    the government obviously have quantum computers 30 years ahead of this, all the time they catch hackers/deepweb marketplace owners some how decrypting data that would take hundreds of millions of years for a computer to crack. The insane technology that snowden released was just the tip of the iceberg, the fact that they are letting the public know about quantum computers means they already know everything about it. a quantum could hack launch codes for the entire world in nano seconds scary shit! if a civilian hacker got hold of one of these the entire world would be in his hands all money wiped, gas pipes stop working,planes cant fly just 1 of these computers could decrypt and re write the entire worlds software 124 bit encryption is like 1+1=2 for quantum comps :S im stoned and concerned lol only bad people will be interested in using these trying to pretend they are gonna use them for science the government thinks only in kill first do research later lol i bet trumps thinking awesome if someone tweets about my hair ill just make theyre nucular power plants have an "accident" JK fbi

    Quantum computers need big cooling system, so by year 2050 we’ll be seeing laptop with "Refrigerator Inside" instead of "Intel inside" label on it.

    like the man said..it’s not going to blow anyone’s hair back until we get the machines available and practical, AND we have had a whole generation of kids geeking out over them…it’s totally different to any programming language or logic used in today’s machines, and that’s a whole new way of thinking, which means whole new ways to tackle things, a a whole new way of imagining ways to use it..my brains too old and set in it’s ways to start again, so bugger it.

    There is at least one working quantum computer in the government somewhere (probably NSA) and probably several. About a year ago, I saw a 12 character password on a zipped ‘national security’ issue file get cracked in about 3 or 4 days, and that includes all the time it took to do the paperwork, get authorizations (it was a US citizen) and whatnot. I imagine it was put in a queue of other jobs and was itself probably processed in a mater of minutes when it was finally worked (purely a guess though of course). And that was nearly a year ago, I imagine they have more and even better machines by now and there is no password that they can’t defeat if they decide to.

    Talking AI best used quantum computing,or simulation of multiple dreams vr ideas than exact and execute the single result with a classic set up, And/or go back to in any single classical decision and run it through a quantum set up at any point And back out to a classical set ,
    Say like when you are having a conversation you can to a conclusion a single conclusion after many decisions then you want to run that single conclusion back through many decisions again so and you can come to and even more efficient single decision and result for instance, It would be wise to be able to run any decision back into Quantum time setup and single classical set up to fix any mistake or decision change in the future.

    "Entanglement" a theoretical mythical unicorn fantasy similar to Hawking Radiation… quantum computing is extreme High tech masturbation hoping for spinoff technological innovations that can be monetized… similar to what happened during the space race…. it is the new search for the Higgs Bosun… Having said all of that I will also say that your video on the subject is the only one I have seen that is not all hype to appeal for some funding 😀

    i am still not understanding how the brain does memory …. the physicist Roger Penrose thinks that the microtubules in the brain store memory in a quantum form ( this would mean that a low temperature isn’t necessary ) so my question is how come we don’t know where memory lays in the brains architecture ( unless it is quantum based ) and if it is then how come we don’t exploit this technology to produce memory circuits and quantum processors !??!?! i tell you why because big computing won’t be able to control it if we can grow our chips in a petri dish ….

    i probably should defiantly of patented this idea but.. it’s a compass placed inside a inductor with a slight modification could maybe be used to represent 3bits or more instead of two bit binary and wouldn’t need liquid nitrogen to work 🧭 🤔😐😔

    Do you have a resource that explains how qubits actually WORK? It’s confusing, because it is the very point of a bit being 1 or 0 that makes computers function. Logic gates use this precise quality to make computers work. So how does a quantum computer actually use ‘smeared probabilities’ in any kind of functional mechanism? How do you code an ‘if – then’ statement with imprecise values?

    you can use quantum computers to simultaneously simulate millions of classical computers on a single chip eliminating the need for physical materials an manufacturing of classical computers. simulation is what quantum computers are best at.

    I think this is one of those things where you just wait about 4 or 5 more years and check back. Last I heard their quantum computer was only about as powerful as a standard laptop. So at that rate (given the history of computers) in 4 or 5 years they’ll be way beyond the old silicon computers sure. But its going to be awhile. I await the day I can have a quantum desktop. Or an optical computer desktop. Either one is fine with me. Only one I don’t want is biological. I don’t think biological computing is something I ever really want to get into.
