Atari 5200 would have been an exceptional successor to the 2600 if it weren’t for the shitty-ass controller and ridiculous price of the console. It’s really a shame, too, considering how impressive the games look for their time. The people at Atari blew it. So much potential gone to waste.

  19. CrissCross - RoBeats & More! on October 7, 2019 at 3:44 pm

Since you put up something before the video that showed the RCA Studio II, you should’ve added it b/c It is a pretty dysfunctional system b/c "Is this what you call controllers?" and the weird TV hookup.

  20. Gayinbee on October 7, 2019 at 3:45 pm

    where is Nintendo WiiU ??

  28. Peter Lawson on October 7, 2019 at 3:52 pm

The Saturn was part of the evolution of consoles. To be able to play Virtua Fighter, Daytona, Virtua Cop, Quake etc at home was, at the time, pretty awesome, so I’m not sure why it’s ended up on this list; however its game pad WAS admittedly crap.

  29. Leon Mccrae on October 7, 2019 at 3:53 pm

Why is the Panasonic 3d0 not on this list lol

  30. sebMcMurr on October 7, 2019 at 3:54 pm

Excuse me, but there are sonic games for the Sega Saturn. But there was one which is called sonic Xtreme which is unfortunately canceled

  34. Hon. Narcish McTattletale on October 7, 2019 at 3:56 pm

God bless my parents for having to deny me so many of these hunks of dogshit throughout my upbringing. I almost certainly nagged them to buy me each and every one of them. It’s funny, they gave in to buying us a Nintendo, genesis and N64 but somehow they knew where to draw the line.

  40. Andy Playground on October 7, 2019 at 4:03 pm

    Where’s Xbox one?

  41. MetroidJunkie on October 7, 2019 at 4:05 pm

If you like the concept of the Ouya but want something much better, go for the Shield TV. Gaming Android that connects to a TV. It’s slightly more expensive, though.

  42. Xanatos21 on October 7, 2019 at 4:07 pm

The R-Zone was even worse than the piece of fucking shit Virtual Boy! The retards at Tiger Electronics were just snorting crack cocaine up the ass when they made that monstrosity!

  46. Neb6 on October 7, 2019 at 4:11 pm

Ironically, the 5200 could have been released in 1979 with a normal controller. Wait! It was, but with a keyboard and a price increase. It was called the Atari 400.

The CD32 was just repackaged technology based on even older technology that was left stagnant for many years. The Amiga was great for its time but the rest of the world eventually caught up.

Aside from being a battery-drainer, the TurboExpress looks pretty darned cool with 481 simultaneous on-screen colors and 64 sprites on a handheld in 1990 (The GameGear only displayed 32 colors at a time at a much lower resolution, and it came out a year later).

As for the Saturn, it was actually pretty good. Just a bit tough to program.
