Previously I did comparison of cumulative sales by brands. This time we have monthly data. So here it is: timeline of video game consoles popularity by monthly number of sales from 2004 to 2019. Worldwide stats.

    The reason why the switch is killing it now cuz you can use it as a console or a portable device. Where ps4 you can’t make it portable. Also the exclusives and games are very enjoyable

    I think if you’re going to do a monthly comparison it’d be better to use a statistic that doesn’t accumulate, like active users or something. Not sure how available that info is.

    Still great vid, I’ll have to go watch the other one mentioned in description which will probably give me more of what I’m looking for.

    I own both Xbox and Switch but I gotta say the PSP(first one) Ben Ten, Sonic Rivals, Mega Man, those were all my “Hide under the covers though I’m supposed to be sleeping on a school night" games lol I miss those days
