Why you don’t do more salvation army haul s?
most people know what their phones are worth, and they won’t sell new or mint phones lower than refurbished prices.
Good advice, there are safer things to sell
Thank- You, for sharing Casey! I am going to be getting my concealed carry permit, as I’m a female reseller and was honestly in fear of my life over a Black Wii (New in box) and Xbox Elite. I was at a yardsale this summer when I spotted them in a box and as I was trying to get the person’s attention to make an offer when 3 men ranging from 5’11"-6’5" and all easily weighing 300 lbs surrounded me. I had never feared for myself as picker but, I did that moment. I mean it all worked out as the lady who was running the yardsale was married to a State Trooper and that was the men needed to hear and left. I live in a very small rural area and a local factory went out of business so now the locals are turning to eBay or theft to make money. It’s very sad to think that "reselling" could be a risky business. I really appreciate your honesty.
sellers on ebay selling reconditioned phones-and advertising them as brand new, original packing,un-opened,false advertising and ebay doing nothing about it
That’s why I never got in to cell phones. I like making $100-$300 with no hassle…. no hassle from a buyer or from a seller or from ebay. Local sales is so great! I have a great niche that is 95% safe…. nothing is 100% safe.
Thank you for this video.
Way to much work for a lousy 300K.
Sounds like a lot more trouble than its worth. Peace of mind and freedom are priceless.
Casey, you need some anti reverb foam for your recording room
Lmao Dam At A Police Station? I Just Want To Make Enough Money To Get Into Real Estate.
Great video KC
You my friend, are brutally honest and I really appreciate that, I love the way you laid out everything you were right on spot!
My girl wants an iPhone, can you contact me if you have one to sell? I’m a top rated seller and not a scammer? Thank you
He’s right. Today I went to buy a macbook air from this guy. When the transaction was done he left & his girlfriend robbed me for it. I’ve flipped about 30-40 phones so far & around 30% will lie about the condition, if it’s financed/cracked/general issues, always check. Done selling for now.
Wow, no offence. I’d find it really cool to live in America, but i am doing my used cell phone business on eBay here in Central Europe for over 15 years and never had any problems with violent sellers or buyers. I get mailed almost every item after i pay for it. I don’t pick items up at the seller’s home. About every 5th phone is not really as good as expected, has minor optical or technical issues, not very often a cell phone has major malfunctions. Sometimes i can fix them.
For sure i got scammed a lot of times, but i don’t buy a phone for $100 to sell it for $130 or less. I try to get phones for low end prices and sell them for mid-range or higher prices, so i still have enough profit at the end of a month and after fees and taxes. That’s why I never spend more than 200 bucks on one item and prefer paying via PayPal. If someone scams me, in the most cases i can get my money back.
I also almost never buy cell phones without a purchase contract or some (electronic) document with the address of the seller and the item i bought. I also need these documents for the tax authorities. An email from PayPal is enough for this.
A year ago, i started selling non-electronic used and new items. Selling cell phones is working for me, but is sometimes very annoying. It is very time consuming, because you have to test every single item (the 100 functions you mentioned), take pictures, upload to eBay… I wanted to sell beautiful friendly things, things that i love, not cold electronics. That worked out very well too.
All you need to do to unlock a phone is call the company and tell them to unlock it. Takes 5 minutes.
I am glad you carry a weapon! Makes me like and respect you even more!
noticed they removed all the links below all videos guess that’s what they mean by removing ads a lot of changes aren’t always good.
I found a tv on the roadside a guy popped round to buy a dvd player I had online he asked how much for the tv so said give me 200 he said deal #Result
Legendary reseller lol million dollar biz but I def agree with you Casey glad you quit the phone game so risky I actually just quit local sales all together unless it is a meet up at a police station as you said. Awesome that you carry a weapon, I definitely want one but I’m terrified of guns actually haha take care as always boss
Never experienced more scam returns until I started selling cell phones. I won’t sell them anymore and they were like cheap used burner phones, nothing special. It was crazy!! Tons of them were sent to freight forwarding addresses etc…
Theme song for when I pick up a phone

Sabotage. Is ebay a victim of sabotage? 3 Day Delivery seems to be broken. I noticed something wrong and have been calling ebay to see if I am missing something here. Even though, like you, I offer a faster delivery on some listings (Priority Mail). Every one of mine say 4 day delivery including Priority. Expidited even shows 3-4 days. Yours are 4 day also, as well as others I am following. What happens when you use the 3 day toggle filter at the top? I did a search for Nike tee shirt and got 161,000 results. Using the toggle for 3 day delivery it reduced to 400. 6 different ebay reps had no clue as to what I should do to be included in 3 day delivery. The last rep I spoke to checked and said it should be fixed in 72 hours. This led me to believe they know they have a problem but seem to be keeping quiet about it. With Amazon pushing fast delivery we look pretty bad on Cyber Monday and headed toward Christmas. If a buyer needs it fast we are being left in the dust. Am I missing something? Mike
I have bought a few online and have had bad luck everytime… The phones are junk… I buy the new android metro pcs in store new only now too cheap not to
good day
No need to apologize for open carrying…Gotta stay safe
I posted this a few videos ago in your sourcing from Craigslist video, but I’ll post it again since it is extremely relevant in this video as well:
One of the first homicides I saw as an inner city police officer was a staged Craigslist setup. They shot the guy twice in the head and stole his wallet, phone, and a secondary cell phone he had brought to sell to what he thought was a real buyer. So yeah….sell in a safe place like the lobby of a police station or a very public area with a lot of people around. There are many scumbags lurking around the corner of the internet trying to make an easy buck. To Casey’s point, it’s not a ‘Craigslist problem’ in particular because a very similar situation happened in my city (although I was not on scene for this one) with a cash for clunkers deal. Pretty much you’d call this company who would give you $500 for any rundown car. They’d post a picture of a car and said I’ll sell it to you…tow driver comes down with the $500 bucks in his pocket never to go home to his family again.
I used to live in the Atlanta suburbs and the police stations were putting special parking next to the doors and with cameras for craigs list buyers/sellers because of the shootings and holdups.
Another scam people do is try to get the Imei number from your phone so they can essentially activate it on the line and kick off the other phone for whatever reasons they need to and that renders your phone useless. Sometimes they do it to do insurance claim on the phone that’s not even on the line. I have always had good luck meeting in person but then again I’ve always had a safety protocol and been always aware of my surroundings I’ll arrive early and check out the place and I always pick a spot that’s close to Police station. Or better yet just bring another person with you to be a second pair of eyes and stand guard
I live in the Tampa Bay Area too and honestly I think buying cell phones to resell is a great business. It’s very profitable and the phones never take more than a few days to sell. If you’re really worried about someone selling you a stolen phone get them to sign a bill of sale, take a picture of their ID and meet them in a public place. You need to take risks in life and the chances of you getting robbed or shot is like 0.0001%
I sold three phones for almost $100! [$90]
Luckily, I live in wisconsin where open carry is legal. So I feel way more comfortable bringing the hammer with me on transactions.
very pessimistic. there is good and bad in every single industry. It’s Risky, just like investing in anything. down voted for negativity
Well I Live In A Shelter And Have $1,500.00 I Have To Do Something. Flipping Phones May Be The Only Thing I Can Do For Now. I Just Have To Be Smart About Making Sure The Phone Is Sellable And Will Not Be A Return Risk. As For Being Robbed? Lol Too Street Smart For That. Do Want To Make Sure Phone Has A Good IMEI And Has No Lock Feature Active Like Icloud.
