  6. cbaby gags on February 17, 2020 at 10:02 pm

Think I’ll stick to these awards from now on. As happy as I was Parasite had the night to itself, it felt unearned in some of its awards. Best original screenplay over Knives Out and OUATIH? Yeah, nope.

  7. Rat Sallad on February 17, 2020 at 10:03 pm

Alright, Mr Dafoe, have it your way. I like your acti´n.

  8. Wasy Muzaffar on February 17, 2020 at 10:03 pm

    HELL YESSSSS

  9. Jacquo Bangalter on February 17, 2020 at 10:04 pm

Willem Dafoe wearing his reading glasses reminds me of Gary Oldman.

  10. Jack Cunningham on February 17, 2020 at 10:04 pm

    HAAAAAAAAAAAARK!!!!

  11. SILVERBACK PB on February 17, 2020 at 10:04 pm

  13. Official Filmilen on February 17, 2020 at 10:07 pm

He should have been nominated for an Oscar, bur its good to see him win here

  14. Jim Kelly on February 17, 2020 at 10:07 pm

This should have been an Oscar speech. Happy for Willem, but he should have won an Oscar for Best supporting actor. Didn’t even get a nod. What a shame.

  15. dustin lee on February 17, 2020 at 10:08 pm

william and adam sandler got snubbed.

  16. BEATmyguest31 on February 17, 2020 at 10:11 pm

He deserved an oscar for this role

  17. RazorBeak on February 17, 2020 at 10:13 pm

  18. Ronald Bara on February 17, 2020 at 10:13 pm

Willem Dafoe is a great actor how can he not have an academy award yet

  19. Blister Monde on February 17, 2020 at 10:15 pm

    Ye earned it.

  20. Nicholas Vittorio on February 17, 2020 at 10:16 pm

At least he got SOME recognition for his role! He should be the one sweeping awards in the Supporting Actor role, not Brad! Easily the best of the year.

  21. JOSHUA NANCE on February 17, 2020 at 10:18 pm

    He is an amazing human

  22. JimGuyTV on February 17, 2020 at 10:18 pm

Damn ye! Let Neptune strike ye dead Academy! HAAARK!

Hark Triton, hark! Bellow, bid our father the Sea King rise from the depths full foul in his fury! Black waves teeming with salt foam to smother this young mouth with pungent slime, to choke ye, engorging your organs til’ ye turn blue and bloated with bilge and brine and can scream no more — only when he, crowned in cockle shells with slitherin’ tentacle tail and steaming beard take up his fell be-finned arm, his coral-tine trident screeches banshee-like in the tempest and plunges right through yer gullet, bursting ye — a bulging bladder no more, but a blasted bloody film now and nothing for the harpies and the souls of dead sailors to peck and claw and feed upon only to be lapped up and swallowed by the infinite waters of the Dread Emperor himself — forgotten to any man, to any time, forgotten to any god or devil, forgotten even to the sea, for any stuff for part of Academy, even any scantling of your soul is Academy no more, but is now itself the sea!

  23. 390Lyfe 1 on February 17, 2020 at 10:19 pm

Complete Shame! Brad Pitt wins an Oscar for playing himself. No performance was better than Dafoes this year. Complete Snub!

  24. Æsc Oþ ᚪᛖᛋᚳ•ᚷᚪᚱ• ᚹᚢᛚᚠ on February 17, 2020 at 10:20 pm

    *HAAAAAAAAARK!*

  25. João Felipe Melo on February 17, 2020 at 10:20 pm

The Academy prefers to nominate Two Popes in several categories than this masterpiece. This is such a work of art and that is just a leftist propaganda full of lies. Shame on them!

  26. 2020 is pretty funny on February 17, 2020 at 10:23 pm

    he is the best

  27. rifqi bahtiar on February 17, 2020 at 10:25 pm

    Oscar forget him so bad

  28. maning04 on February 17, 2020 at 10:25 pm

Patts killed a seabird that’s why he didn’t get an award lol! Congrats Willem Dafoe!

  29. Kiran on February 17, 2020 at 10:26 pm

    Fuck the Oscars!

  30. Oren Woodward on February 17, 2020 at 10:26 pm

I loved the film, however I didn’t like his cooking. BUT. I was fond of his lobster.

  31. danny ingersoll on February 17, 2020 at 10:27 pm

he straight up deserved it fuck the oscars

  32. Glin Bit on February 17, 2020 at 10:27 pm

    ultra merecido

  33. Nripesh Dhungana on February 17, 2020 at 10:29 pm

Fuck the oscars. They have disrespected the two best films of the year; The Irishman and The Lighthouse.

  34. A K on February 17, 2020 at 10:30 pm

GIVE THIS GUY AN OSCAR FFS

  35. Felix Flizzy on February 17, 2020 at 10:31 pm

Uncut Gems & The Lighthouse very deserved for oscar, what a worst snubs.

  36. Liz M on February 17, 2020 at 10:33 pm

Congrats, Willem, you so deserved this win! In my opinion, The Lighthouse was a masterpiece all the way around! That the Oscars gave the film so little attention was a travesty.

  37. David J. Scott on February 17, 2020 at 10:34 pm

I was bummed when Adam Sandler beat out Robert for best actor. Loved both films, both did a fantastic job, but I really feel like Robert put his ALL into that film and he deserved an award for it.

  38. Moumita Debnath on February 17, 2020 at 10:35 pm

Absolutely overwhelmed and satisfied by his win. Finally!!! The lighthouse yeyyy

  39. NubbyNubbster on February 17, 2020 at 10:37 pm

    A fuckin’ goat man

  40. Robert Becker Becker on February 17, 2020 at 10:37 pm

Best movie of 2019 and certainly one of the greatest movies of all time.

  41. Martin O Neill on February 17, 2020 at 10:38 pm

He should have gotten an Oscar vote with the performance

  42. Chris Rosenkreuz on February 17, 2020 at 10:39 pm

wow that movie was fucken weird! I loved it

  43. Vittorio Bollo on February 17, 2020 at 10:43 pm

Very happy for Willem Dafoe. He’s a terrific actor and he was excellent in "The Lighthouse". Well done!

  44. Josh Reidy on February 17, 2020 at 10:44 pm

Willem Dafoe: * becomes a fucking 19th century seaman and gets buried alive.
Brad Pitt: * takes off his shirt a few times and drives around in his car whistling at his dog
One of these men won an oscar, the other wasn’t even nominated.

  45. Aashish Khakha on February 17, 2020 at 10:46 pm

He should have nominated/won the Oscar as well. He’s so frickin epic!

  46. Trowa71 on February 17, 2020 at 10:47 pm

So why don’t we all just stop watching the oscars and hype up indie spirit awards?

  47. Martin Poulter on February 17, 2020 at 10:47 pm

Dafoe’s performance in the film is so inhumanly intense – and unsettling – that it really stays with you long after you see the film. Glad to see such outstanding acting get recognition.

  48. Claudia Erika on February 17, 2020 at 10:47 pm

    Always great great actor!!!!!

  49. Crafty Kid on February 17, 2020 at 10:50 pm

literally the best performance of 2019

  50. Spencer Stabio on February 17, 2020 at 10:50 pm

At least he got some recognition for that film.
