RecalBox Raspberry Pi Build – 27 Retro Gaming Systems in One

RecalBox Raspberry Pi Build – 27 Retro Gaming Systems in One

Recalbox retro gaming build with 27 systems and over 10,000 games including Nintendo, playstation, sega, atari, mame, and more. One nice feature is they do have an entire rom set directory to see all the games on the whole 32gb system. Will only work the raspberry pi 3 b NOT the b plus.

I bought a retropi with 2 wireless snes controller, an image, plug and all that and then the company was gone as they were selling the device with an image. Now they came back with just selling the device with an sd card but no image.

I saw the image they’re using and this is the exact one.

I believe the reason why some games don’t work is because its limited cores. I have no issue trying a game on retropie but on recalbox there is an issue.

The final stable Recalbox release is planned for 12 april, full Pi3B+ support, actually they made available release candidate 2.

Can I connect a joystick arcade kit with this?

Its probably my sdcard but i noticed all games take a long time to load. Some run slow as well. Strange.

A lot of games mame does not work on this image it is really necessary that the guys tests before uploading, nothing decisive on this image and no novelty. A basic image 32 GB.

Oh maaan…. I was just about to download it when I heard you say – it won’t work on B+

Not feeling this one Drew. I think il stick to the emulga silver 32gb recall box. Thanks for the video though. It’s just that some mame games won’t play has put me off. Il see you on your next one.

Which frontends for the Pi can you display PDF game manuals alongside the games? RetroPie? Batocera? RecalBox? Or all of them?

Best seller was Alex Kidd in Miracle World for the Master System?! Yikes!!!! Hahaha! Just finished playing it and yeah… Great video with interesting info. New to Pi but this looks interesting enough to send me down the rabbit hole! Thanks!

I respectfully pass on this one. I’ll wait until the 3B+ is supported. If the 3A+ is ever supported, that would work too.

Im trying to add my flippin xbox one controller via bluetooth and I need to get into the CLI by pressing F4 and then Alt+F2 to see the CLI and THEN I get a frikkin "WARPGATE Login" prompt…. This is useless to me without being able to get into the CLI. Anyone know the login please and thanks?

What frontend would you recommend for a pc? I built an exact NeoGeo Goldy arcade cabinet and have windows 10 running.

I got to agree with you. I compared your game counts & systems in this video as you were going through them, and they are pretty much a 1-for-1 match for the Emulga build that dropped over a year ago. I’m not seeing any differentiators that distinguish this from that stellar build. The other Recalbox (I think you reviewed last year) build that was really good was the Godzilla Legendary one (128GB). That one was tight competition for the Emulga build.
