Just because PS4 got announced in Feb 2013, with a release in November that year, that doesn’t mean PS5 would if it’s coming out this year.

Despite MS selling fewer systems that Sony, they still revealed the XB1 May 2013 and released that same year.
Switch even had a simple video, in October 2016 and then the system was released only 5 months later, having one of the best console system launches in history.

Sony could easily reveal PS5 as late as June and launch in November, though I doubt that’s necessary given that the technology for a next gen console is basically ready to begin manufacturing by August of this year.

Sony won’t announce PS5 this year if they don’t plan to release this year, to do so would kill PS4’s final Holiday of sales, because many gamers will just wait to buy PS5, rather than buying PS4/Pro.

    ps4 god of war 1080p 30fps
    ps5 4k locked 60fps

if ps5 god of war 90fps you get 4X resolution and about 2,5 framerate 10 x real World performance!

Just to compare last of us remaster was running 1080p 80fps (unlocked)
    ps3 720p sub 30fps

Can we trust Sony? They gave us a 1440p fakerboard 4k mid gen console that sounds like a vacuum cleaner(huge resolution gaps on games like Metro Exodus 1440p vs native 4k on the One X).They gave us the likes of Knack2,The Order 1886(the original tech demo before Crackdown 3), Driveclub (meant to be PS4 launch title delayed a year then another year for Online),The Lastst Guardian (delayed 7yrs meant for PS3 in 2009,launched in 2016 in PS4 with mediocre reviews of 7’s) Psvr (basically tech demo’s).

2019 is the year we’ll get an announcement for both next-gen consoles, they could potentially to release during March 2020 or November 2020.

It should be released in 2021

An 8 Core, 16 Thread Ryzen CPU at 3.2GHz is going to be well over 5X faster than the 8 Core Jaguar CPUs in current gen systems.
Digital Foundry ran tests on a 4 Core, 8 Thread Ryzen CPU and at 3GHz first generation Ryzen was 3-4X faster than the base current gen consoles.

Ryzen 2 or some console optimized CPU should be more efficient and achieve better IPC over the CPU Cores in chips like the Ryzen 5 2400g.
Even at under 3GHz an 8 Core 16 Thread Ryzen 2 could be a good 8X faster than PS4 and XB1’s CPUs.
Pro or X aren’t much faster on the CPU side of their SoCs than their weaker counterparts, maybe 20-30% faster, so PS5 and Next-XBox will easily have over 7X the CPU performance than those consoles.

CPU tech is going to be the real game changer in next gen consoles compared to all current gen models.

They’re targeting 2 price points this generation. $200~$250 and $400~$500.

I would rather have a good polished product than something rushed.

I think the launch line up is super important idk if they have a good one for a 2020 launch who knows though.

i wouldn’t be upset if the cpu is the rysen 7 2700, it has 8c16th and that 3.2clock speed from the leaks. also Navi 10 is "11+tf "on paper, but i don’t know what Navi 10 lite is like, i am hoping it’s in the "10+tf” territory.
